Teach on MindyRoad

MindyRoad families book tutors inside the product. There is no public tutor directory. You set your hourly rate. Parents pay that rate plus MindyRoad's 15% fee.

How you get paid

  • You choose the hourly rate. That amount is yours.
  • Parents pay your rate plus a 15% fee. The fee is added on top. It is not taken out of your rate.
  • Stripe Checkout charges both amounts. Your rate is transferred to your connected account, and the 15% fee goes to MindyRoad.
  • Connect Stripe before your first paid session. You can finish your profile and submit it for review first.
  • Stripe asks for a bank account, your SSN, and a photo ID.

What we ask for

  • Name, phone, city, state, and ZIP
  • A confirmed email address
  • Headline, bio, education, and years of experience
  • Subjects, grade levels, and an hourly rate
  • A LinkedIn or Outschool link before the profile counts as complete
  • Profile photo and teaching credentials are optional
  • Admin approval before families can find you
  • Stripe connected before a parent can book a paid session

Approval

After you finish your profile, the application stays pending until an admin sets an approval. Pending review means neither an approval nor a rejection is recorded. Live means the application was approved and has not been rejected.
